Wrecked Last Week, First Place This Week: #59 Bounces Back

Last week was a tough one for Jack and the team. He got loose on the track, hit the wall hard, and the night was over before it really got started. The car took some serious damage and there was a real question about whether #59 would be ready to race again by Friday. That's where Brian and Angela at Bore Performance came in. They put in a ton of hours this week getting the car back together and the team couldn't be more grateful. Seriously, those two came through big time. The goal going into Friday was simple. Run clean and stay out of the wall. Qualifying went well and Jack locked down pole position, meaning he had the fastest lap time and got to start at the front of the field when the green flag dropped. Paxton Cole, Stevie Warren, and AC Waller were on the track Friday night. Great competition every time those drivers suit up. Then on lap 2, coming out of turn 2, the car got loose and Jack went almost completely sideways. It looked like history was about to repeat itself. But the car found grip, Jack kept his cool, and they stayed out of the wall. Jack led 19 of the 20 laps that night, only losing the lead during that lap 2 scare, and brought #59 home in first place. Not bad for a team that wasn't sure they'd make it to the track. There's also a bigger reason Jack is out there every Friday night. He had three open heart surgeries before he turned 4. Racing is his way of showing other kids facing tough health battles that anything is possible.
